Hid Help!!!!!!!!

Just fitted the HID kit to the headlight conversion on my FD. clicked them on & Oh my god, thought it was daylight again!! left them on for a look at the front end, then they just whent off!! turned them off at the stalk, then turned them back on again..... got the initial start up puls, then nothing!! Left them for a while & tried them again....... 50 seconds of light then off again!!!

What the fook is going on??? this is bugging me now as I have had these light units in & out so many times now I\'m getting pi55ed with them!!

either a dodgy hid ampliffier dude or not enough volts might need a fresh relay in the curcit

Unlikely to have 2 duff amps though?? Relay opperates fine on a std bulb!! the HID units have a surge on start up (30amps) then drop down to 15 amp after the initial second...... surley if it was the relay the lights wouldn\'t start at all??

Battery might be down a little mind?? worth giving it a charge up??

it\'ll be easier to try with the engine running rather than waiting for it to charge.

well you d have thought that jon but ive fitted loads of these things and similar problems with a skyline had 0.3 v to little to work the amplifier but normal bulbs were fine .

mine draided my battery within 15 mins although they are projector lamps??

Not quite as jazzy as yours at the moment karl, but I have yet to finish with mine... got the shrowds & lense covers to make this week!!
& before anyone says anything, I know the car is minging dirty........ once the lights are finished she will have a propper birthday!!!

look cool jono, which colour rating did you go for??

have you got HID\'s for main and dipped??

just dip at the mo..... they are the 4300k units mate!!
