i htink the trouble over here inthe uk with lack of sponsership is due to the fact alot of the drag trips arnt anything special which is a shame. if we had one in the uk like in sydney then drag raing would be alot more popular. must be exciting thouhg carl after seeing the rx8 do 9\'s!

Pod is slowly getting there, but it needs plusher stands and facilities, also like Oz bring in Friday Nights drags for summer

exactly!!!! couldnt agree more. they need at least  rwyb a week, just to make sure because of crap weather.

Unfortunately their near neighbour as of 2006/7, about 40 years after racing began at the Pod, is a lawyer who threatens to sue them for noise nuisance every time someone coughs in the grandstand. That will sound familiar to fans of Castle Coombe, Brands Hatch etc etc. Any club motor sport in the UK is now just an ASBO waiting to happen.

I would have thought that If he has just brought the house, and Pod has been running races for a long time, then an expectation of Noise would be part of the house details, and having brought the house knowing that, he wouldn\'t have a leg to stand on?

It would be a bit like me renting my flat next to clapham junction, and then complaining to them about running the trains late at night when i\'m trying to sleep! :rollin

We\'ll see how it goes anyway.
If it is not done this year then it is not done.
Maybe I should sell hundreds of small spaces all over the car to individuals and see if that works!
