Is there a specific type of dumpvalve I need for my fc3s?

Just lobbed a forge grp n dump valve onto the rex from my scooby, the car runs, but i dont seem to get much noise from it, i put it back on the scooby and took it for a spin and it sounds like Ive got a pigeon on speed stuck under the bonnet!

Any ideas folks?

I would suggest a Baileys BOV, don\'t get the DV24 like I did cause it doesn\'t work on the FC! Get a DV26 :)

thats the twin piston one yeah

HKS SSQV works well on mine. It was fitted by the previous owner and sounds sweeeeeeeeet!

I have a HKS as well and does the job very nicely.

yeah, i have got a DV24 single piston that works fine on an fd but not on an fc, so check that they are twin piston.

Anyone know what model this is and if it\'ll do the job on my fc?  Its come off my impreza.  Tried fitting it but it doesnt seem to be realeasing, now its got a little nut on the back with A one one side and B on the other side, doies this alter the spring rate?

Thats an old school HKS sequential BOV ie the BOV before the Super Sequential BOV that lots of people have lol, not sure on the specs on it though.

thats the same bov as mine.. when mine didnt open it was down to user error, ie me!!
i got the air pump removed along with ERG valve? cant remember what it was called.. but other emmmissions stuff removed n had to plug a vac line from the T piece to a nipple on the uim area. (i forgot all the techi names)
if its not plugged in there with the emissions stuff removed then it wont open.
think theres pics on my project page (not sure if this helps?! but makes me feel helpful lol)

its under the strut bar. the vac line that goes from the tub into a T piece, one end goes to the bov and the other end goes into the ERG (or if no ERG then plugs into the nipple on the uim)
worth checking vac lies to make sure its a tight fit and no leaks.
