Turbo II in an n/a shell??

James if this is the way you are going then just buy a 1989 S5 or later scrap car with a good engine and swop everything over that you need.  Jobs done.

Yep, I was purely stating the differences between the TII engines only.  Quite a few people have done this in the USA so if you log onto the Rx7club.com site there is a lot of info on there for this swop.

Right at last have had a good chat with an expert & we have decided to put an RX 8 engine in her, so lets see where this takes me lol

has anyone supercharged an EGI engine? must be an add on kit you can buy, imagine with the rigt charger you could get some pretty good results, temps should be lower as well, what with no turbo.  Not sure what the drain on the engine is though and you might have to lose a few things to make it fit.

i doubt theres a kit, there used to be a turbo kit but apparently this is no more.

cool 2nd gen with rx8 engine looking forward to the results, should be as quick as a stock Turbo II

Yer me too should be done within a couple of weeks . Should be quick even thou i am unaware of the FC turbos bhp... it will have a induction kit, with a decent cold air feed, free flowing exhaust, running of a Motec M2R & i believe the fc is roughly 100kg lighter than the rx8 so am hoping for bout 245bhp.... what you reakons??

yep it should hit that at the flywheel 240bhp about 180bhp at the wheels, be much quicker then an rx8 with it having more power and less weight, TurboII are 200bhp mostly at the fly they have more torque then the RX8 engine, but you will have a much higher rev limit at around 9k or more , should sound real nice
