De-Cat

getting mixed opinions here, does it or does it not effect the turbo seals when you de-cat your car, was told by pip that it causes no problems at all but have heard people sayin both that it does and it doesn\'t just wondering what the general consensus here lol

if your turbo is close to going it will all of a sudden become very noticeable. If the turbo is in good condition it won\'t make any difference.

all that a decat will do is you will have boost spikes and its more likely to creep. Where in walsall you from? Not seen you about if you want to meet up have a chat about stuff let me know as im only 5 min away

im from willenhall mate, were bouts you? thats cuz the cars bearly moved in the last month or so that iv had it due to needing new ecu and clutch :Hammeris it just me tht finds pip realy hard work to get him to phone back lol, were do you take your rx mate?

Yeah pip is hard to get hold off cus he\'s always tinkering in the workshop. I\'ve been waiting for ages now for him to email my ecu map after mine suddenly lost the data.

Im orignally from willenhall, just moved out of my mom n dads now just in featherstone, i take my car to pip, hes good but cant be hard work sometimes but i know hes alway busy with the amount of cars he has.

I was the chap sat in the waiting room on the day you were at WGT, i hope Pip\'s news wasn\'t too bad.

I\'m pretty sure a de-cat won\'t affect oil seals, it will allow it to work more freely thus increasing boost which is why you might need an ECU. Pip is regarded one of the best rotary specialists in the country i\'d hold his opinion higher than most on here

He\'s also a very busy man, it does actually say on the website not to call until after 16:30 as he is busy in the workshop, so it might be worth trying him then.

the news wasnt to good, clutch was slipping realy badly so couldnt get a rolling road done and the knightsports ecu  "is pouring enough petrol in to sink a battle ship" in pips words lol
so need new both of

i know he\'s a busy man, i was just gettin a bit stressed as i been looking forward to santa pod for a while n now not sure if the car gona be up n runnin in time as pip may be away next week and he\'s havin problems gettin hold of clutch\'s atm so i gotta sorce one which i have, just need to confirm the part number :Hammer

still got lots of mates that live round there too! and problems or just for a rex to rex chat and drink anytime!

Not at pod next weekend went JTS the other week so next one i think is Rotorstock, hoping to run the strip too.

lol @ problems, everyone got problems round ere mate, the red lion went off the other week, 3 of me mates got arrested for standing outside the pub lol i went to tomo but got a few mates that went to comp, how old are you mate?

yeh i was hopein to run next weekend, duno if il even be goin now :-(
