Hey guys -  just a bit of an odd question thats been bugging me for some times, i\'m not sure if this is the usual characteristics of the car but my pedal seems to be pretty much on or off. getting the car to cruise at a constant speed can be a bit of a challenge at times as your literally resting against the pedal.

Is this right?

I know what you mean... most of the time when I\'m cruising down the motorway, I am only *just* on the bite point to keep constant speed...

I usually change down to 4th LOL, makes it more intersting (and sounds nice)

LOL! well i do wear platforms :WaveBye im a small git (NAWR!) - The seat at the moment is quite far back as i have to push my legs out straight to drop the clutch. but still close enough that i can have a slight bend in my arms etcetc. Its exactly as RedRummy says but i have the added fun of bumpy roads and stiff suspension. foot keeps bouncing in and out the cruise zone. aslong as im not going daft/have a dodgy throttle.:Thumbs-up

The best and most obvious solution is to flog the FD and buy an FC, cruise control all the way ;) :Giggle

Or just hunt up the (rare) Cruise Control bits for the FD :D

i cheated my way around this by adjusting the idle point on the throttle.. yes the car idles higher, but it never comes completely off throttle, meaning u never get that lurch when u just want to re-apply the throttle slightly.. so i\'m idling more like 1k rpm. Its not drastic on fuel consumption either. depends how much u use your car.

Cheers for the comments guys - car idles a bit high ireticly at the moment but i think thats down to a ground :P Hey if i could get over 20mph from an FC T2 Id probibly go that way later :Laugh

If I thought an FD would last the course, I\'d offer to race you... :Giggle

Hope you get the idle sorted etc :Thumbsup!

yeah, my suspension is bloody stiff too... I virtually leave the seat travelling down some of the road round here...

Keeps you awake anyway  :)
