Quote from: Nik da Greek;499941That\'s the container that a Yakuza gangster keeps his severed finger in when he has to cut it off to atone for an act bringing disgrace to his master. If your body is mising any part or incomplete in any way, you can never enter heaven, which is why the cutting off of any bit is such a major gesture. They seal it in one of those containers, the kanji on the end are warding glyphs to keep their severed body part safe from demons on its trip to meet them in heaven. Your car\'s probably been used in all sorts of gangster stuff in its homeland, dude, drive-bys and everything!

Ha ha!! That\'s a mental story... I like it!

Only cos I don\'t drive any of the ones through Lancing, dude! I only get stuck with 30 year old cattle cars, not those posh new green ones! Glad to have been of some service, Leon! Each train carries small detonators that you\'re supposed to clip on the rail in an emergency, and when another train runs them over they go "BANG!" and warn the driver to stop before he hits the obstruction. Part of your duties in an emergency is to clip three on the rail 20 metres apart if you see a train approaching! Well. sorry, we run on 125 MPH line in places, if they think I\'m jumping out in front of 300 tonnes of 125mph express to stick detonators down over a 40 metre stretch, they\'re seriously mistaken. I\'ll stick to jumping up and down at the trackside waving frantically, ta! Professional bunch, us train drivers!

Should probably state as a disclaimer that some of the bits about Yakuza hitmen may not be completely accurate, lol :). Unfortunately, all the bits about train emergencies are true :D

So which lines do you \'service\' Nik. Just so that i can avoid them. I dont need more to worry about on the choo choo\'s First i pay good money to sit in floor class nexto a dog called bengie who always wants to lick your face. I\'ve even sat where the lugage is supposed to go eating my overly priced food from the buffet car.. (although the cider crisps are nice :mmmm )
I woof in your general direction.

Nik da Greek

You\'d be spared part of that awful experience on our services, dude; we don\'t have buffet cars! I wouldn\'t like to name the operator I have the misfortune to drive for cos my contract prevents me publicly defaming them, but they run Brighton to Bedford! Were called something else two years ago, and were one of the best-performing franchises. Bought out by F!rst group and are now the second worst in the country, after only F!rst Great Western, which is a remarkable piece of re-branding, though not quite what they had in mind, I\'m sure. That\'s what you get when you let a bus company run trains, they spend all their time appointing herds of managers to chase drivers up for not wearing the correct uniform, and no time at all maintainting the units, which are falling apart in huge lumps!

BTW, "Bengie\'s" owner could reasonably be expected to purchase him an AAA or "Associated Articles and Animals" ticket, £5 or 10% of the passenger fare, whichever is the lesser. Covers ignorant t*ssers with fourteen suitcases on the seats, or snowboards and stuff, too. Most guards don\'t bother with them, but you could always insist, as a paying customer... although some people might appreciate Bengie\'s licking skills, matron...

*cough* sorry - City Thameslink :o
