my new car... slash project!

hi im a new memeber my name is ste and im 21....i bought my first gen 3 rx-7 last friday to replace my wrx sti 555! ive had a turbo II last year and absolutely loved it and i must say so far this gen 3 has been abit of a downer! power didnt seem too great (which ill come back to) and after i got it home i realised that the power plant frame had snapped into 3 pieces!! i didnt know a thing about this sort of thing last friday but thanks to this forum ive learned all about it and am now waiting for my new frame to arrive so i can take it for a proper drive!! as to the power thing, on inspection i realised that one of the main boost pipes wasnt even connected! but as the frame snapped i couldnt take it out and see if it was abit more powerful!... on the bright side, the car is white with a brilliant bluey pearl effect! it has 18" wheels, has been lowered and has an after market exhaust (which is abit too big for my liking so ill be looking for another!) since friday ive sort of seen the car as more of a project as i cant drive it! so ive stripped out the interior trim and am going to prime and spray it as its pretty scratched up! ive also cleaned the engine bay and taken the air filter off which was caked in black nastiness! so i threw it away and have since ordered a hks kit! i dont really know much about hks kits for these cars so any info would be great! hopefully ill have the car back on the road by next weekend so ill update when ive taken it for its first real drive :Giggle any help and advice on the things im doing to the car eg. the spraying of the interior bits would be very very very much apreciated as i have absolutely no experience in this sort of thing lol! it took me half a day to take the power plant frame off! and about 3 days just to learn what it was called! lol

you will prolly need to adjust your hand brake while your at it mate!! good luck with it tho.

 i live in bristol as well, do a fair bit of work rebuilding these etc, have lots of parts so if you need anything or want any advice etc let me know

ahh wow cool :chat where abouts are ya? theres sooo many parts i need! i dont know whether to respray all the interior plastics or just buy new stuff but no-one ive asked on ebay seems to know all the interior parts i need! lol i dont think ive ever seen another rx-7 in bristol its good to know there is one though! :god i will most deffo be in contact for parts and advice! thanks alot :chat

im in ashton, a stones throw away from the city ground, ashton court etc. if i get a parts i need list together do you reckon you can give me some prices mate? im wanting to get the car back up to scratch by next weekend!  its really just the interior bits i need now! do you get performance bits in too?
