Still can\'t find any wheels that suit the car in 15 or 16".

Are 17s out of the question on 1st gen\'s?  I can get wheels I like in 17" much easier.

Trouble is they are all 7 or 7.5" wide, fine for the back but I want slimmer jobbies for the front so as I can turn the wheel.  (My girlfreind needs to drive it too).

Might get it together this year if im lucky

I quite like the Aussie look with FR Simmons wheels ... I think its an aquired taste though and was heavilly influenced by AJC13B\'s old car :D ... would only work well on a car with a nice bright metalic paint job though (and 13BREW under the bonnet!)

I used to work for Goodyear and have a conversion table, you can fit 215/35/18\'s on a 7" rim, however i should imagine you will need to fit longer studs on the front with a spacer, i have 215/45/16\'s on mine with spacers and longer studs they are fine, i will be fitting some 18\'s on the new one, if i can find some i like!!!!! ( anybody know where i can get a good selection to fit??)
I am having the arches rolled aswell just incase!!

yeah, I think 16s  with 215/45s sound just right.

All I need to do is find some wheels I like that come in our weird offset & stud pattern.....
