HELP!

As some of you may know, the silver Gen 1 Mk2 threw a rotor tip en-route to JapFest on Saturday. Now we have an interesting situation, we have a LHD Mk3 with no MOT but a running engine (don\'t know how strong it is but it\'s only got 90000 km on the clock) body is good on the LHD but not brilliant there is rust on the roof and a small ammount on the underside, the silver one has no rust but a bloody big scrape doen the drivers side and a blown engine! So option a: take engine, wing and door  from LHD and put in Mk 2 and respray then sell off the rest of the LHD as parts. option b: sell plate from LHD (we have been offered £700 for it) have mk2 engine rebuilt and have two runners with one needing some bodywork the other needing minor work to get through MOT, option c: if it\'s cost effective, try and buy new rotor housings, tips and seals and rebuild the engine ourselves!

I have a few questions

1. How easy is it to rebuild a 12a?
2. a) If the housings are damaged (don\'t know yet) where can I get new 12a housings from?
    b) How much would housings be - ish?
3. Is there anywhere on the web where I can find a step by step guide to rebuilding the engine?

Sell the Number plate for the £700.  You cant actually get the plate transferred without it having a current tax disc, (and I think a valid MOT as well)

MikeLMR

you need a valid MOT to sell the plate, but that seems like the best option to me even if it does mean work to get an MOT first.

Have a word with Carl, he should be able to get hold of 12a housings and will give you an idea of the cost.
