I just purchased a HEL SS Performance Brake Line Kit for my 94 from ebay. These are new to the market as HEL normally only sell performance bike stuff.   The kit was not cheap ( £54 ) but is great quality, however they need modifying. You have to file one of the hexagonal peaks on each of the brake fitments into a smooth arc to fit inside the recess in the brake line support bracket. For all 4 wheels this means 10  brake line fitments have to be modded. Not a difficult job, but the last thing you want flying around when playing with brake components is metal filings. I modded mine and fiitted them and they look great, but at that price there should be no fitment issues. I,m not at all sure if this is required for all RX7\'s, but it certainly was for mine.
I have sent a note to HEL via their website to highlight the problem, that is assuming these are not from Taiwan and cheap copies.:Nono!

Thanks

The discs have made a huge difference to the braking efficiency even with standard pads.  I don\'t know how long the pads will last as it chucks out brake dust like an F1 car :Laugh.

Just to clarify this situation I have attached a shot of my OEM ? brake fitment. Can anyone tell me if all model RX7\'s have this brake line profile ?. The left hand side of the fitment in the OEM photo has the peak machined into an arc which is then a perfect fit for the recess in the brake line support bracket. With the peak in place the fitment won\'t drop into the recess and therefore you can\'t fit the retaining clip.
If they are all like it then HEL need to do some corrections.

cool sounds good, i currently have a pretty standard brake setup and when i first got the car seemed good, im now running around 400bhp and the brakes seem to have got gradually worse over time and seem to struggle alot at higher speeds,  ive bought some grooved and drilled discs all round, hawk pads all round and am also gonna do a fluid change, it already has braided brake lines which is a bonus.  Im getting a t04r fitted soon which should hopefully be pushing around 500bhp @ flywheel, just gotta hope my new brake setup is good enough hehe

I think I know what you are talking about .... I got a set of EX stainless lines and they they were profiled now you come to mention it.
Mines Black and dirtier than Donatos. But hey, no-one asked for a good clean fight.

They\'re not that expensive....Goodridge kits set you back £75!

They are expensive for pipes that don\'t fit :2Rolleyes

I just installed a set of Goodridge...was quite ****ed they didnt fit until I saw what the problem was...you have to file down one end of the hex...fits perfectly after...just wish they did more research and did it themselves...

Good upgrade though, can definitely feel the brakes are stronger than before. :Laugh

Well yeah but he said they were expensive before mentioning they didn\'t fit.
