Hi,
My car has the dreaded misfire at 3500 rpm.

Can anyone advise which main parts require earthing to hopefully resolve this problem.

Thanks
Chris

I earthed from the neg to the chaisis, via a bolt under the fuse block, Alternator adjustment bracket then a seperate one joining the other wing to the back of the UIM. Also put one on the ECU for the sake of things!

Admitadly i didn\'t have a hesitation anway this was in regard to another problem.. also cleaned up various grounds around the place :Thumbs-up

Two Three of the top of my head,
- Back firewall left hand side connected to uim
- Right hand side bellow the fuze box in engine bay
- One near the ignitor (back right of engine bay)
- One under drivers dash right hand side.

All those are easy to get to :)
I woof in your general direction.

its possible it could be the plugs. i had exactly the same thing (read thread on general technical) plugs were changed and it was sorted!

Thanks Leon,
Jamie Supra, Plugs are new and I do not experience the hesitation at any other point in the rev range. Thanks for your input.

I may also be wrong but i think there is one attached to the downpipe, I really never could find a defniative list of where all the grounds were on these cars when i tried looking  Woop just remembered another 2 (One im not 100% sure about the one on the ignition coils) i remember one ontop of the eninge under neeth the rats nest and another one inbetween the ignition coils...  i seem to remember one on the fuel pump in the boot too.
