Any Garages near york???

Hi all
Im looking for a garage near york that can take a look at my 93 fd  as i dont know what is wrong with it, i think it  might need a rebuild  but not to shore,its been sat on my drive for well over a year and a half and i just need it fixing now  as its doing my head in being sat there.

Needs to be very close to york  as it has no mot or tax.

If any1 knows some 1 that can look at it  please let me know thank you for any  help you could give

Hi ya kev no it starts when cold small amount of white smoke but soon goes,its when the car is running it seems to have a prob ,its slow to pick up small juder but when it gets going and the revs are up it is as fast as ever.
then when  i stop it  i can hear what can only be described as a water boiling sound from some where in the engine.The car never over heats does not loose any coolant or oil   or even water.+ if i then try to start it from hot say parked for a few minuets and try to start it again it does not like it and takes it \'s time to fire in to life.

i   just need some 1 close that really knows what they are looking at to have a look for me,as i dont want to drag it to pips to find out its nothing.

Hows the cosmo by the way ?

if it struggles to start when warm it sounds like its low on compression. get some one local to compression test it for you and it will give you quite a good indication on the condition of it.

I have been thinking the same but  might as well look at every thing before dragging it to pips.


It will be nice to get it sorted and back on the road now the girlfriend has gone,got more cash to play with lol

hope its something simple to sort and you can get it back on the road .
 
should arrange to go up the strip or something like matt kind of arranged at the easter weekend but when it starts to get better weather so we know its going to be good
 
yeh loving it at the minute but need to get the top end mapped as we ran out of time and there were a few issues that i needed to sort and some new bushes on the back.

if i do need it re building then at least i can get some more work done on it,porting and a new turbo as i don\'t like the twins.
Just need to find a price on a re spray some 1 said about 2k fr a full spray but that was just off the top of his head.

now that is nice if not a bit to big just for a street car.
She will be sorted soon  all being well,then ill be over your way to see Ted and wills  for abit of a night out.
