Alternator is easy to remove, just be carefull of the vac lines around it there easy to split.

I\'m in the process of trying to get mine appart to paint it.

its easy to split the alternator. putting it back togeather is another matter, i got 2 small allen keys and slid them through the holes on the back to hald the bushes back while you slide the internals back into the rear housing.........its obvious when you have it in bits and realise that the holes are there.

er ooppss a think av messed up removing the alternator and it moved the rotors a think just heard a wee wooshh coming out engine as av pushed it all round

have a messed up ma timing???

arrouk

shouldnt make any differance the the engine mate, if you still have the air pump you may just have pumped a little air through the egv (i think thats what its called, the valve on the inside of the LIM)
