Hola!

ive recently changed my clutch for a hyper single and all is good, drives well and i like it but the only problem i have is when coming off gas and clutch in my RPM dips and has stalled a couple of times !!

after reading up on possible issues i nosed around and checked out the dashpot. From what i read there is suppose to be a fair bit sticking out and well mine looks poo to be honest.  ive checked the clutch switch and all is good, checked the TPS seems fine the only thing i can think of at this time is the dashpot.  here are a couple of pics in and out :D

if anyone has any insight into possible causes & solutions it would be most appreciated

The dashpot looks good as far as the distance it supost to stick out.
Just check it slows your throttle, from inside the engine bay just push the cable as though accelerating then let go, the last 5mm when it hits the dashpot should be slowed by the dashpot, if so then its working ok.
Failed dashpots are usually stuck in, but yours looks ok, iv had 3 now :( , finally ended up purchasing a new one.

is it adjustable steve? i cant really check atm the weather has been awful : (

As far as i rember it just a on/off switch.
They have a spring inside them that tends to perish so making the switch stick in.

i think i had a look under there and the switch was moving fine... after thinking about it im guessing i may possibly need an adjustment on my map as the flywheel is now lightened... grr dunno i\'ll give pip a call tomorrow.  Cheers for the help Steve :cheers
