Hey guys,

I started (well, atempted anyway) to rebuild my gearbox -needs new seals and a bit of modding, but ive come unstuck at the first hurdel it would seem...

i cant for the life of me work out how to seperate the selector rods from the rest of the box...

the only way i can see of doing it would be to take the roller pin out that holds the shifter stick seat onto the selector, but there doesnt seem any plausable way of doing such a thing!

any help available? the only online workshop manuals i can find are for a 94 rx7, im assuming fd3s? mines an 87 fc3s...

any tips would be great! thanks!

would a haynes manual cover it? theres plenty about on the bay

cheers for the suggestion but i dont think haynes manuals go into that much depth to be honest..

the ones ive had in the past, whenever it comes to things like gearboxes and diffs, its seems to be a "we recommend you take this to a professional" unfortunatly..

shame really :3Confused

you need to push out the roller pins from the shafts, one that is done the forks on the shafts will slide off and the back section of the box can be removed.

the hardest part is finding a bearing puller long enough to get at the bearing just infront of the gears on the main shaft.
There are performance cars and then there is the RX-7...........

12.3 second 1/4 mile, terminal speed of 122mph (1st ever drag run on a TO4R)

engine built by....... umm me! now powered by a T51 Kai......
