some of you may have read my other threads about my rex and the work/improvements ive been doing to it. well today i have had the last bit of major work carried out followed by a full re map and dyno setup.

i have had a stainless silence de cat pipe fitted and 2 of the pillow ball bushes replaced on the back. so the journey back home was all the more peacful (if you can call a rex peacful) ok maybe a little quiter but no banging from the rear end so a definate improvement.

after the cat rep pipe was fitted the car went onto the rolling road and with the first run recorded 266.9bhp at the rear wheels. ok i thought until i had a chat with chris and max (this was all done at re worx) who informed me that i was low on fuel pressure and also the spark was weak (which could mean lots of cash from my pocket). however i had an immobileser fitted that was cut into all the main feeds etc of the ignition. they asked if i minded if they removed it,sorted the wiring then ran it again so they could rule this out as the problem as they had come across some immobilisers causing issues. i agreed and they did a few tentative runs to make sure it was better, which it was no dips in the curves ,fuel pressure back up and a nice smooth power and torque curve. now the good part is it is giving 308.3 bhp at the rear wheels or to put it another way 369.8 bhp at the flywheel :Giggle :Giggle :Giggle

to say i am happy is an understatement. i will add pics of the dino printouts when i get my camera sorted

chris has advised me that i should get the immobiliser re fitted but only get it put into the starter motor feed then it stops the car being started on the key but doesnt interfere with any of the important feeds to other components.

i cant reccomend re worx enough good friendly service but also extremely knowledgable and helpful. if you live in the south and need your rex sorting or tunning i would definatley make the trip to portsmouth i did and i def will use them again in the future.

standard rad and intercooler so keeping boost below 1 bar,

thats it really nothing super but the engine has only done 2k and so have the turbos.
