Heater Matrix change, plz help

My heater has stoped working due to leak from the heater matrix.  I need to change that and its a task im not looking forward to.  Could anyone tell me how hard it is to change?  Is there any way i can change it without taking the dash out and if so how hard it is to take the dash out?

I did mine at the beginning of the year and it wasn\'t much fun!

I sourced a good second hand matrix for about 100 quid, although it\'s common for the matrix to be ok but the rubber O rings perished apparently. Matrix still has to come out though.

Then the fun begins.....passenger seat out, radio out, centre consol out, doors open sides removed from dash, electrical connectors on passenger side,
any alarm led\'s etc on drivers side, 2 bolts passenger side, 2 bolts drivers side, one in the middle under windscreen, 2 bolts each side of transmission tunnel under shrouds.

I lifted the dash out, then doing the actuall matrix was easy, and it all went back together alot easier than it came out.  Good luck!

Yeah did mine earlier on, its not hard, just a lot of stuff to take out.

I managed to do it without taking the whole dash out.

There was a guide on here of how to do it.

I just searched on heater matrix and it brought a loads of threads up.
