advice/comments on my mods

after staring at my power fc sitting on the shelf for the last couple of months i\'ve decided to splash out on some mods to justify actually fitting it
 
so before i go ahead and order i was after some comments on the following shopping list
 
apexi power intake
koyo type Z rad
sard 280l/h fuel pump
sard fuel regulator (8mm nipple) with adapter
greddy spec M front mount with compression tube
 
its all going on my stock engine (bar a catback) that was rebuilt about 2000miles ago with the plan to run the twins at 1 bar
 
in addtion to the above i need to get hold of a down pipe and hi flow cat although i\'m struggling to find a supplier at the mo in this country
 
so is there anything else i\'m missing??

Looks a good list to start with.

But you could do with a boost controller mate especially if your running a catback due to boost spike and running twins at 1 bar

Down pipe go for HKS, there is one on ebay at mo or if not i know Re-worx have them in usually

Worth getting a few auxilary gauges as they saved my engeine a few months ago!! Oil pressure & oil temp I have got, but going to be getting an EGT one soon fingures crossed!! also, I would drop the boost down to about .85bar or you will max out your injectors at 6000rpm running 1 bar!! also the blowers won\'t last long at 1 bar

ummmm what ecu do you have??? you wont be able to run most of those mods on a standard ecu, i would recommned an apexi power fc and commander, easy plug and play and easy to map, all the tuners on here will map it. The commander is very useful as it can display boost, water temp air temp etc, standard gauges are useless.  Also as jono has stated the standard injectors will max out at around 0.85-0.9bar, you wont be able to get 1.0 bar on the standard injectors, ive got 1600cc secondaries on mine and running 1.0bar

Pretty much confirmed my suspicions that 1 bar might max out the injectors - so i guess the options are either fitting 850 primarys (i take it the primary rail will need to be modded for this) or get hold a secondary rail and a pair of 1600 injectors
 
what are the pros and cons of the 2 routes?
 
i \'ve got a commander with the power fc and also have a water temp and a boost guage fitted where the centre speaker was and have been being toying with the idea of fabricating a din plate to hold an oil pressure and temp guage as well
 
the turbos were rebuilt at the same time as the engine and were apparently tweaked or optimised thou what was done was never fully explained  - and given how little the car gets used i willing to run the risk of running em at 1 bar
 
if they hadnt cost me 1500 quid i\'d have junked em for and uprated set of twins :2Rolleyes  but hey ho

you can run 1.0 bar on the twins no problem, one thing you might want to look at if they think they are running a little hot is water injection
