Hi Guys,
I am finally preparing for RX7 ownership (after many years).
But although I have gleened a lot of good information and tips from this forum, I still have a few questions;
I only intend to use the car for the summer months as a second car, so it will be stored in a non heated garage through the winter.

What precautions are necessary for storage, as I read on here that tips can be broken or engines flooded after some storage.

Thanks
Chris

Take it out every couple of weeks for a good run with a bit of hard driving thrown in,not the best idea to leave for months stood IMHO

Continuous trickle charger, like you can get from Hamilton Classics.

Can also use the motorcycle type, i.e. Oxford Oximiser or Optimate assuming you have power in your garage? to keep the battery and alarm powered...

To be honest a few months isn\'t going to hurt IMHO, the one i have did 1200 miles in 7 years prior to my ownership although this was in a heated garage for this time.... running it up to temperature once a month or so i would have thought would be ok...

There are far more knowledgable people than me out there tho :D:D

Thats a good point in an unheated garage where it will be damp and also generally cos they rot from the inside especially at the seams :D

Thanks Guys,
Yes I have a battery conditioner, so that will keep the battery/alarm operating.

Good point about the petrol tank ! My last car had an aluminium tank, so I did not even consider filling up before storage. Good tip. :D

Learning more every day !
