Hi guys im trying to loose some weight outta the track car but would like to keep the use of the door window, so gonna be changing to lexan or similar and removing the window motor so any ideas on what old car i should have a keep fit window mechanisim from?- ie an old vauxhall cavalier?

Bet there isn\'t a huge difference in weight between both mechanisms. I\'d keep the  electric ones. Even the FB had electric windows !

You could always have none and just a little slide window :D

From what I heard a wind up mech is so similar to the power window in weight you may aswell enjoy the power windows!

I was going to get fixed windows but when you consider sitting in traffic and only a slat for cool air it suddenly lost its appeal!
