Right guys. How simple is it to rebuild a 13-REW? I\'m a spanner monkey so i have a good understanding of where things go how to take em apart and so on but how easy are the rotor lumps to rebuild? Do you rekon i could do it?

RobbieRX-7

I\'ve never even taken an engine out or rebuilt one before and i did mine last year. Done 5000miles since and still going like a champ. If your mechanically minded, it\'s straight forward, nothing out the ordinary, piece of pi$$ so to speak. I have a rebuild dvd if your interested. Email me at robbie.bezzaford AT gmail.com

Jit

yeah theres nothing mysterious about these engines. Ive done my own and its still going (albeit in someone elses car).
As long as you are careful and can measure tolerances and wear, you wont have a problem...

Draco

referance you DVD does it show on it how to remove the engine and ancillerys etc etc

RobbieRX-7

No, it just shows you how to rebuild the engine block

nikp

The engines easy to remove. MartinY even put up a quick how to a few days ago.

Cooch

Engine removal wouldnt be a problem as that part doesnt bother me it was just the general rebuild side of things. If its that easy then i should be ok. Is there any mauals that state what tolerence your allowed and everything else?

RobbieRX-7

All the tolerances are in the Mazda factory service manual. The dvd just shows you the neat tricks and cheats that the factory service manual fail to show.

Draco

i see the post that was put up a few days ago. and that was very good
what i am onabout is taking all the manifolds off/pipes/vacume hoses etc etc

Cooch

Where would i find me a Factory Service Manual then?
