Hi everybody,

Just a few questions to get started!! I noticed that there is some oil inside the pipes leading to and from the inter cooler, my understanding of turbo\'s is very limited and just want to know if this is likely to be the seals in the turbo have gone?? and if so where can i get stock twin turbo reconditioned or buy second hand ones?

any help will be well appreciated

thanks

i wouldnt worry about it....most cars ive worked on have oil in the IC pipes and they dont have problems!

usually FD turbos give signs when there going (oil from Exhaust on Overrun, Blue smoke on cold start up after a run hammering the day before etc) if you are not seeing excessive blue smoke don\'t worrie about it (don\'t forget you may see Traces anyway from the OMP)

Out of interest What boost level are you running? I know on my stock twins, i had  problems when i raised the boost to 14/15psi (they don\'t like being wound up as they don\'t run 360 bearings as standard)

I\'m running standard boost I think, only bought the car 2 days ago and fitted a blitz boost gauge and that reading 0.6-0.7 which i believe is standard. Im thinking of fitting a XS Power intercooler which just slots in to replace the stock unit, anybody got any opinions on this ??

dont bother..these in my opinion are crap..a friend of mine had one...they dont fit very well...and dont really drop intake temps as the positioning is poor....get a decent front mount or stick to standard...
Definately want it mate but the dog has just died so will be getting the missus a new dog for christmas....
Sounds like a good deal but will have to ask the dragon first.....  :flamed  :spank
