This is possibly/ probably a stupid question...

Would somebody be able to confirm whether these Tein Super Streets I have just bought are the ones with pillow ball top mounts, or without, please? Am I missing anything? I thought the top mounts were camber adjustable?

Thanks guys,
Dan.

I dont think you do get adjustment with the top mouns on the Tein SS.  Its just a harder rubber mount made by Tein..

Cheers Mr JP825 for the rapid response..

Anybody else concur?

Seems to be a prob with original pic, will retry....

Those are the pillowball ones :)
You can get them either with, or without.
The ones without fit the stock top mount on all the other cars i\'ve seen them used on, not sure about the FD, but from those piccies i\'d say it\'s the same as all the other applications :)

Make sure you take care of them by flushing them out with a something like wd40 periodically and then putting a decent quality grease on them after they\'ve been cleaned. And remove all the lockrings and lower mounts and copper grease them before you fit them.
Do this, as well as WD40\'ing the threads to clean them every once in a while, and they should give you good quality, buttery smooth travel for a long while yet :)

and cheers for the advice SiH, wise words indeed, you\'re a gent.

Those are Pillow ball mounts.

They are a metal ball type bushing that allows the strut geometery to changeindependantly of the mount.

There are camber mounts you can get also but they aren\'t really needed.

In Japan. Not many people run top camber mounts on the FD.

Even the big guns like RE-A and Feed just use tops like these..

I just looked at the tein website... its difficult to tell what you have... http://www.tein.co.jp/e/products/index.html

Morning Dan, sorry for not helping sooner.

If you look on the box and you should find part No  QSM32-BVSS3 this is for RX-7 FD with upper mounts

Hope this helps,

The part numbers
GSM32 B1SS3.. and QSM32-BVSS3 are both identification for the same kit the only difference is that one kit has English instructions and the other has Japanese instructions

However if you would like to look at the link below we have a full set of instructions about how to fit and set up your Tein suspension kit
