strange noise (HELP!!!)

got a 1992 fd and have had it off the road for a few months, charged the battery today and fitted a momo steering wheel (got the horn to work thanks to reading a thread on here)
 
the problem is there seems to be a high pitched noise coming from the dash area?  no warning lights just the noise. any ideas?

Overspeed buzzer circuit gone faulty?
