You know when you flash someone to let them go past, thats the high beem...

Most cheap xenon setups have single layer xeons, which can only show one level of beem (light brightness), high beem works because the bulb has two elements and so when you flash someone, it lights the second element in the light bulb giving a stronger light effect...

Xenon setups to be able to produce high beem will need a special bulb, or a bulb with a non xenon bulb attached to the bottom of it for high beem... Called H4-2. Cheaper sets come with a single layer light as mentioned earlier :)

Did that make any sense? I\'m at work and rushing typing it lol

Quote from: KevinHow do these compare to the visual daylight ones MRP are selling?  Was looking at buying a set from MRP as they are plug and play like the kaixen ones..... but cheaper.

Anyone got the MRP ones?

where do you get the mrp ones from? not the cheap ones on ebay are they??

Kevin

Not a clue mate, I think there £145 plus vat.  How much do the ebay ones go for?  Dont really want ebay crap on my car, not after all the money i\'ve out in it!

shafster

think the ebay ones are £260 delivered from china or somewhere :D

they look ok in pics, but then again so do a lot of things

The ones from MRP are no doubt the best product out there for money...mate of mine has one on his white fd and looks the business.

Yes buddy that makes sense, thought you meant HID kits were ilegal unless they had HID full beam too, which I couldn\'t understand a reason for but I know what you mean now ;)

trotter

I bought one of Ed-RX7s kits off him.....

No complaints - although fitment was a bit of a PITA - got it done a couple of hours though. The light i\'ve been geting from the HID kit isn\'t that good lately tbh, but I think thats more to do with the bulbs are starting to go / i\'ve wired them up wrong. D\'oh!!!

Overall, well impressed with them - and they do look cool as fduk at night!!!
Work hard, play hard house :D
