there is a meet at squires cafe ever month but i doubt anyone will be going until march time. tbh I\'m not even driving mine atm as its too much like hard work in this weather.

Matt

ps. no offence meant but there has been an issue locally with performance cars going missing so people may be a bit more cautious than normal.

lol, first time i\'ve been called a car thief but i guess there is a first for everything ;)

Well with the weather being like it is up north i doubt anyone will be forthcoming but all i want is for a knowledgeable owner to show me the ropes so to speak. So thinking about it, a single owner would be desirable but anyone who has some spare time and perhaps fancies a shandy then get in touch.

If anyone would like to add me on messenger to chat about a possible meet up then by all means add me to your friends list my email for that is tim.darracott@zen.co.uk

I\'m a whipper snapper at 23 and work for a charity, i promise not to shank you when we meet ;)

No offense taken matt.

It might be 6 weeks until i\'m ready, i\'m just trying to get my money right, a few times i\'ve jumped into buying a car too quickly financially and i\'ve been made to suffer. This time it needs to be right as i plan on keeping it for a few years :)

tim, glad to see you can take things lightly. you should fit in nicely round ere lol.

The squires meet is the best place to come and have a look, you will see rx7\'s from mild to wild. its on the first Tuesday of every month IIRC.

I know that you can get decent economy on a single but you can still get good economy on the motorways with a twin as well, you can still drive it "off boost" at a good speed. Its only round town when they get really thirsty!

i might be lucky here,  i havent ever had a single problem with my rex boosting on its twins, not really had any major problems at all that i can think of! I guess reliability is mainly due to how you drive / look after your car, so if you keep spending your time and effort on the mechanicals a rex should treat you well.

Whats this about a TVR lol...  i\'m sure an rx with stock twins would give a t350 a run for its money nevermind a single!

if your 23 dude, you will defo have problems getting insured on a single. Try ringing about before you buy a single. I rang around loads of people and they wont entertain me having a single turbo until im 30 (i got my rex when i was 25). i only pay £500 a year on insurance for an FD thats on stock twins and thats fully comp thats with 3 years no claims and limited mileage. make no mistakes mate even with stock twins and stock boost this car is incredible.

Hi Tim once the weather breaks then then Squires is the place to go. I can vouch for Matt there was no finger pointing, just theres been a few issues up here of late and everyones being a bit cautious. The latest of which was at his bosses house the gits didn\'t even care that he was in at the time they still went ahead and broke in anyway. Matts running a highly modified single and i\'m sure will take you for a run. Naz as he said runs stock and there are motors about in between. As stated though check the insurance and what they are willing to cover first it\'ll save you time in the long run.

Insurance is a shade under 1000 for a twin with greenlight. I\'m yet to check single insurance but having read some of the comments here i\'m not really that fussed what i pick up, as long as it\'s a good one.

The black FD jurgen has looks nice and having once been interested in supras i know all about his excellent reputation from the mkiv supra forum. But as i\'m not buying immediatley the car will probably be gone by the time i\'m in a position to buy :(

Thanks again guys!
