hi all, have been looking in on this site for a bit said i better join up and say hi:WaveBye , i have a 1990 fc turbo. bought it in june last year,it just had a full rebuild with a street port when i got it, i drove it home(Ireland) did about 1000miles then she dided on me, apex seal i have been told,fool here never got i maped for irish fule,just didnt no,i started work on it today,its having a new paint job,wheels and coilovers,depowering the power steering as well,big job but worth it,then rebuild time,be good to me bank man,i am sure a few of ye will no the car, any info on it would be cool,i will post a few pics of it,cheers lads,

I got one of those front cowls, they are Fc2000 Reamemyia and are about 1k for the kit (Lights are included in that but HID upgrades wack the price up quite a bit if you have them)

I have my Head light sections painted Black and have the Plastic covers over the Lights (well worth doing if you get chance)

This is not mine (i don\'t have many pics of my car to hand, bit of a project thats got lost in time )

thanx for the welcome lads, i am in south ireland Cork, i bought the car near swindon,the lad i got it from told me it had just had a rebuild at rx motors,he said it had done 1500 miles since full rebuild,i rang rx motors and they said it was a good car,i paid 2300pounds for the car,did seem a bit cheap at the time do as a rebuild would cost that,and the RE Amemiya fc2000 kit would have cost near that as well,it had rx8 seats just fitted too,and a new turbo,also had a street port and a microtech ecu,there were new tyres on it aswell,theres  a 110,000 on the clock,i did about 1000mile in the car and she just gave up on me,still starts but sounds like a jcb,and no power,i asked a lad over here that dose rebuilds and he said its defo a blowen tip as it should have been maped for irish fuel,he is a sound fella and seems to no what he is talking about,i wish i new more about the car,i changed the fuel pump,coils and plugs,no good do,i will get it rebuilt soon,i have big plans for this car ,love it realy:InLove ,had a few fds but they just dont do it for me,thanx

i dont really get that, what sort of fuel do you have over there?
if its a uk car then that can be ron standard 95 ron i thought?
would that really knock a tip out?

looking at the rear bumper its UK but then the front is JDM and the wings are UK so i would imagine its UK but then its got a microtech ECU so that would solely depend on whoever tuned it to depend on whether it got tuned for 95 ron or 100 or so ron jap fuel.  I think in your case its down to the tuner as the microtech is a specialist unit and therefore needs specialist tuning.  You have to be careful why someone wants to sell a fc with all that bodykit,engine rebuild and all the bits added onto to for the money you paid for it unless something was wrong. Certainly worth in my opinion 4k.  I would not sell my TII cabs anything less than 4K to the standard mine are and yours looks to be the same. These cars are now beginning to overtake the FD on value and not before time.  But sometimes there are people that do not realise what you have and i do hope that in your case its something other than a rebuild.  You really have to get it compression checked in any way and at the very least a check through the plug holes to check for damage.  I would hate for you to go through a rebuild when that was not the case.

pdtaylor18    thanx for that bit of info, 95  ron here too, the chap i got the car from did say he had done a bit off tuning to the microtech with his lap top,and there is no way he was a specialist,  a red light started flashing on top of the ecu,this means thers a prob,but why would it be runing fine then go wrong,i tought it was flashing cause the tip had gone and it was geting bad readings back.would it be poss to see the tips true the plug holes ?  compression test has to be done but i am sure its feckt,rear rotay sounds a bit duller than the front when spining over wit the plugs out,maybe i am hearing things do,i will let ye no the outcome off the test do, thanx              .
