So I think I\'ll try confused.com, remember this is just to get a rough idea of the cost and their stupid system a) can\'t find my car by reg no (neither could Elephant tho\') and now I can\'t get a Mazda RX7 as you have to put in the make and the cc of the car, I\'ve tried 1300 which comes up wuth some 323\'s and stuff, then 2600 or 2616 doesn\'t seem to exist, 2500 come up with the MX6! AAARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!

Why can\'t they all be 1300 and be done with it!?!?!

I did get it in the end! There\'s a bit in the FAQ about RX7\'s or RX8\'s and what cc you need to put in.

It\'s all a bit weird. And nothing amazing on the quote front but I think I could probably get it down to a reasonable level with a bit of phoning around.

Try phoning the more obscure companys, I had to bail from elephant(admiral) as they insured me at first for a FC that was built in 1994.... (despite going through ALL the checks on the phone with them "is it a twin turbo, import" Then after would not honor their screw up quote and insuranced that was taken out. But at least they give me 2 weeks to find another insurance company before they terminated it and refunded me.

Why do u ring those people that advertise on the TV,   They are too expensive,   look in yellow pages for brokers,  they are better...

I rang 1 company for a traders policy, and they quoted me £1200,  i asked me broker for a qoute and he came back with £1000   from that company .

I\'d stick with an import specialist who know what they are talking about.  Its just giving an excuse or the swines not to pay out if you ask me!

Rough idea? lol I had quotes on confused.com and the other compare sites ranging from 7k down to 2k.

In the end Sky insurance were very helpful in my instance.  They know the car, and the mods and seem to allow pretty much anything.  You give them a BHP figure and they give you the Quote

Just tried that site, not bad results for a stock RX7 I got £700 Fully Comp with Bell insurance, but I don\'t see anywhere to enter modifications...

Or even to say you have a modified car...
