AON not insuring modified cars?

I just called AON for a new quote as mine is due for renewal, but they will not quote for any car that has a bhp increase of more than around 50 bhp!
 
Anyone with a modded car with more than a 50 bhp power increase had a quote off them recently?

If you would like to call them back and ask for Adam Sivitar I would hope that he can sort this for you as he is the person designated by AON to look after MRC members insurance needs

Just called them back and asked for Adam Sivitar, who apparently no longer works for that team.
 
I was told they refer new quotes to the underwriter and he pretty much rejects anything with more than 50 bhp increase.

I spoke with them today for a quote, they also quoted me on potential modifications of over 50bhp - maybe it depends who you speak to :3Confused
