Difference between standard rads?

Hi everyone what is the difference between auto and manual radiators? looking at uprated ones they usually state that a rad a company do will only fit a auto or only a manual so is there a difference(im not lazy i could go and compare my two but its cold outside)

auto rad has a separate pipe goiing to the transmission iirc
