Hey people I am after a turbo upgrade but don’t know what to get!
I want a single turbo upgrade I know some of the best are:

HKS T51R SPL
Greddy T78, T88 so on..

I will be wanting around 4 - 450bhp and in the future a lil more!
But just wanted to know what you guys thinks best?

Also dose anyone know where to get turbo kits from at a good price?
:o :Thumbs-up

This guy sells nice turbos at good prices

You can get manifold and wastegate etc seperately.

The T04S or GT35R are good for 400 + easily

Question has been asked many times, use search function buddy

Depends on what spooling you want too ?

TO4R and T78 are awesome turbo units, on the US forum the T78 got voted best unit for a FD, i had it on the Purple rx and deffo awesome power when they come in @ 4500rpm or so.

Now have the Apexi RX6 unit which spools at 2800rpm but will max out at about 480bhp @ fly :Laugh

the gt35r spools early and unless u are going to spend real big bucks the bigger turbos just arent needed
the average rex uses between 1.1.4bar max on a single and this turbo can easily handle this boost

thanks people!

GSB876: shame your selling that beast of a rx! seen a lil vid of that car on youtube am in love lol!

as for spooling i want it to kick in early(ish) but i mean you can get anti-lag systems carnt you?!?!

fdlover

... from what i\'ve read in the past anti-lag "is the quickest way to kill your turbo" - various ppls opinions, i cant back this up with evidence tho..

ENVYD

hmm ok! never heard that but worth keeping in mind tarr!

To add to Paul\'s comments, the T series are old technology (originally designed for trucks I have been told) and will take up more room in your engine bay, and are much less efficient than the GT series of turbos.

Not that I\'m biased or anything :)

so you would go more for hks stuff? as i can see by you sig lol! what is your power out put and what do you have for fueling it?

To4\'s are a cheap and effective way of making more power. People have had good results with these - To4e or To4s are great for the street with the R/Z variants used for higher top end.

Carl

Alot depends on your budget, the To4 series of turbo\'s are indeed old technology(some 50 years),they do work, but are inferior to the GT series of Garret turbo\'s which have much more efficient compressors.
A GT 35/40 is a very good turbo for quick spool(1 bar at 3000rpm with right A/R\'s) and flow at top revs too.

well thanks people this has open my eyes a bit more! helping me with more choice of turbo\'s!

You looking for more power already bud? Sheesh, some people are never happy! LOL. I\'ve done a bit of research on turbos and always liked the look of the RX6, as said above, great for low down power and circa 480bhp maxed out. There\'s not much on the roads that you\'ll not flame easily running that type of blower.
I\'m still considering if to go for a single or the V8 conversion (dont flame me!!). I like to rotary but for sound and oomph the V8 does seem a bargain. 400bhp and 400 ftp torque and a deep V8 rumble Vs Rx6 turbo?? I cant decide!
:Laugh LOL
