Right, Firstly here is a better picture of the Vortex Rim.. Beer in mind this is the rear deep lip version.

Now here is a picture of these on a Supra. These are 19" version so look more impressive naturally.

And finally here is a pic of the Stern rims on a 350Z.. I think these look real small for 18\'s but then everything seems to look small on the 350Z! The Arches are too bg or something?!

1st ones are gorgeous!

But all a bit flashy if you get what i mean! FD\'s look great on tough, dark,  race rims! But then they look awesome on big flash rims too!

Choice is which way you want the car to look like?

Well I want it to look amazing!! A show car with a racey edge. Like I have the wide arch kit and RE-A AD9 bonnet.. rear end I am a bit stuck on at the moment till I get it back together a bit but I have an RE-A Low wing for now but maybe I might need to go bigger (but not too big!) like a 99 spec style or Mazdaspeed? Thinking about some spats or a wider bumper but I don\'t want to spoil the nice natural lines.
The Burnout Demo Car looks awesome but a bit impractical and too much show car. I want a show car I can drive!
Hope that gets a rough picture!?

Flash. yes I have!! Was looking into these first off then some other bits caught my eyes.. In fairness that Is why I had looked at the sportmax ones as they have a very similar range. Mybe I will look again!

M.. GT-II are pretty similar to the sportmax.. but no Hyper silver
Hikari again nice but no hyper silver or hyper black. Had toyed with gold but I think it will look to sickly.. I think that is why I stopped looking in the end as I def don\'t want black or gunmetal as it will look dull on a black car in my opinion..
The new speedstars are not bad! And the nurburgrings..

Hmm.. I might make some enquireies about the finishes available.

Thanks

Looks great and no messing around with the original geometry and contact patches!
I imagine that handles very well!

Can someone possibly PM the guy from shine auto and direct him here for some advice on rims!!
I spoke to a company about wheels today to suit my burnout kit and said I am looking for something like 25-30 offst to play safe and then I will play with spacers and he guy said. No, No, no.. you need +6 offset rims.. 3 piece... 10" rears and 9" fronts.. going to set you back about £2650 for wheels and tyres and we recommend the traffic star?! Well a little more than I had hope to spend on rims (althogh nice rims I am sure!) and also I am not quite convinced of the offset/size he suggest! I know the burnout demo car is supposed to have +6\'s on it but the camber is ridiculous! Anyway. This is one thing I do not want to get wrong and have been seeking lots of adivce on for ages! In my opinion the wheels can make or break the car. it\'s te icing on the cake so to speak!

Quote from: craigrI moved from heavy 18\'s to light 19\'s and didn\'t notice a difference. If you have adjustable suspension, you can alter it to cope with the difference in ride quality. Personally, 19\'s every time, but I think it makes a big difference if you go all silver/alloy, or a polished rim with different coloured centre. All alloy makes it look somehow a bit weighty/bulky, but mix it up with a gunmetal/black/gold/whatever centre and it balances out somewhat.

I agree with this, I have blitz Z1 Tecno\'s with gold centres and they look great, more to the point they are still great on track but the tyres are NOT cheap, my Eagle F1 rears (285-30-19) are £280 each, but they have lasted 3 years with 5 track sessions.

The offset you need depends totally on the wheel width dude - an 8 with an ET35 will sit an inch further in than a 10 with an et35, for instance.

If someone just says to you \'you need something with an ET30\' with no mention of wheel width or tyre size, i\'d take the rest of their advice with a pinch of salt ;)

And FWIW, I\'d tend to shy away from Wheelmania wheels, as they tend to be more show than performance orientated, and hence tend to be pretty weighty.

I would try and seek some advise from guys who already have the kit and see what offsets and widths they are using.

I agree, my blitz wheels are 10" rear with 45 offset.

Just to confirm I had put the inof in my previous text.. the guy was recomment a +6 offset on 10" rears and 9" fronts!

I am thinking about 9.5" rears and 8.5" fronts with 25ish offset then if need be experimenting with spacers.. Also plan to run a bit of stretch no the tyres to aid with clearance. 215/40 fronts and 255/35 rears.

215 is a bit thin.

I used to run 225 with 8.5 + 40 and 255 with 9.5 +38 20mm spacer
had no problems. Fronts needed to be 10mm wider though. car was low. so under size was good.

Now I have 18x10 +25 with 255 all round. Rear has 25mm spacer but too wide. I\'m going to try different spacers on the rear this weekend. 10mm less would be good.

Probably wouldn\'t recommend the 10\'s on the front though, a little bit of customising required so not really an off the rack fitment

I tried these on my first car in the build stage, way too big.
TE37 18x8.5 +15 245 and 18x9.5 +15 275

They were from a Supra ... massive.
