Guy\'s I am not entirely sure how the offset rule works.. would 18" rims with the following offset fit my wide arch burnout body or no way?
Front 9.5" with +18 offset
Rears 11" with +18 offset

Please let me know.. Maybe I have found some rims.. although not too sure about them yet! Tyres on them are big time stretched! 225 fronts and 265 rears..

Cheers

i think that maybe a little wide, when i was looking at wheel sizes for the burnout kit the best info i could get was from ken at shineauto i think he was running 19x10.5 +29 rear and 19x9.5 +28 front, with feed arches which have the same added width as the burnouts.

I would go for around 18x9 +22 front and 18x10 +22 rear, you could always add spacers if needed.

ken is on the forum now as \'shineauto\', so just pm him, he seems to know what will fit the burnout arches.:)

Thanks flash. I did think they would be too wide! just checking! I don\'t have pm so I will have to hope ken finds this post!

Anyway.. I was planning on playing safe and going for around a +30 offset and experimenting with spacers.. lot easier to find rims at that sort of offset.. I cannot seem to find anything sensible more than 20 but less than 30!

cheers

if you look on rx7club.com at the shineauto bit, there are threads on the burnout kit and the feed stuff, its worth a look because a lot of people who have the arches asks what size wheels will fit!

it took me ages to work out offset and all that, now i have had to start working out tyre sizes............

my chargespeed fronts are the same width as the burnout 20mm so i went for 18x9+22 and my rears are 50mm where as the burnout are 20mm so i went for 18x11+22, i think i could have got a lower offset but i thought better to be safe......................

look on newera parts, they have a lot of wheels and a very wide range of sizes, i did read on one of the forums that nissan 350z wheel fitment is good for an rx7 with wide arches, maybe see if you can find some second hand on there club forums?!?!

why thank you sir!! I had also figured from looking at lots of wheel adds that the 350Z may be the way to go although I think the fronts are +20 offset which will possibly be pushing it?? hopefully stretched tyres will just give enough room?

Thanks Lee

These are 18x10 front and rear with a 45 or 50 offset. Cars running as much camber as the stock setup allows and its fairly low.

I\'ve always had rubbing issues with wide rims and low offsets on the track. Lots of people have rims with low offsets that look ok and are probably fine on the road but I just end up with tyre on arch with much less than 40 :-/
