I think it\'s about time I joined Mazdarotary Club\'s forums. Kept meaning to do it, but never got round to it, no more!

Anyway, the car\'s near enough completed for now....Have spent 15 mins trying to figure out how to post photos, but don\'t know how!

Any help appreciated :D

Hi Brian & Clive,

Thanks for the replies.

Have tried clicking the browse button to attach a 128 KB JPEG image. I see the link to the relevant file shown, but when I submit the reply...no picture is posted unfortunately. I see some people have managed to post 4-5 pics...Still can\'t figure it out, myself (I\'m not as computer literate as it may seem - sorry)!

As for me raving on about RX-7\'s, hmmmmm.

I have driven all the Japanese exotica and owned the best of them, but none captured my heart as much as the RX-7. I had a GTR R33 V-Spec with around 380 bhp before - as my favourite car, but my daily driver RX-7 was more fun...so I moded it more and more eventually elevating it to being a better & faster car than the GTR. Then the GTR never got used any more...For up to 2 months at a time...So I had to sell it. Now only use the RX-7 for fun, with a humble Honda as an every day driver...(S2000) .

The other plus point, is the HUGE choice of performance parts for rotaries....Then there\'s the 13B engine, Rotaries are engines that deserve to have more acclaim. Yes, they can be tempermental, but they can also be mental!

So I got hooked & haven\'t looked back since!

New stuff out doesn\'t turn me on, to be honest..... Evo 7\'s for example, go very fast, etc. but understeer in preference to oversteer (They make me cringe watching them on a tight track...HORRIBLE understeer) - So the Evo 8 will probably be much the same.
Imprezas, just not my cuppa (Owned a few, but never loved \'em).\\
R34 GTR\'s are great and VERY capable cars, but still feel much like an R33 - Very fast , but ultimately a little too big for my tastes & a little too controlled for me. A car\'s great when you can have BIG oversteer if you want it. That\'s just my way of driving sometimes...Luckily in Japan you can play like that still.

Even Japanese R32 GTR owners have been known to tell me of how they have always wanted a 7...It\'s one of the few cars that can keep up with a GTR, mostly (Aside from LONG Chicanes, where the GTR just trounces most stuff).

IMHO the RX-7 is the best hooligan\'s choice!

Miguel.

P.S. still hoping to be able to post a few pics, the RX-7 looks very sexy these days...So any more advice appreciated though I\'ll try to post a small pic again this time. :D

Miguel

Ha, it worked! - But I can only post 1 picture, even though they\'re not near the limit of 1.5 MB....Any advice?

Thanks.

Car looks great mate, erm you don\'t look to bad either :rollin
I have not worked out how to post multiple pics in one go either yet so if you find out before me then let me know. lol
I met a race driver from re-a the other week he owns a r34 a scoob and a rx7 and his favourite is the rx7, he hardly drives his other cars because he enjoy\'s it so much.

I just caught myself trying to get out of cooking dinner for the other half (I\'d promised to!), so I could have a reason to go out and have a drive into town in the 7....

She smiled sweetly and talked me into staying in tonight. Shame, I won\'t have a chance to use it till the weekend now :(

See! Funny how 7\'s have the effect of causing people to do such things... People sometimes ask me what it does to the gallon, I just frown...that\'s definitely not what these cars are for!

Very, very nice looking 7 Miguel :)

Geff showed me his video last week of his/Ant\'s visit to Japan. Looks like a lot of fun!

I\'m going to have to go to Japan and have a taste of the C1 before I grow old ;)

Did Jeff tell you the story about how an Aussie RX-7 (James Palmer) nut did a burn out, then as he drove off through the haze....a Tokyo Police Patrol car appeared out of the smoke?

I think that was hillarious. We got away with it too...!

C1\'s great, in the early hours of Sunday morning... just don\'t give Ant a go in your car...

Oh yes! seen that video Miguel :)

Talking of video\'s, I can\'t seem to find many movies on the web featuring the street racing scene in Japan. Do you have any idea\'s where I might look? Not drifting tho, I found those.

I know from what Geff told me that most of the locals tend to be rather coy about modifications and such. Do they tend to show off less than other nations, hence my difficulties finding movies?

Many thanks

Max

As Street racing in Japan is technically illegal, nobody makes videos of it for sale to public here.
