Just to add my ten penneth......

if your getting another 50 horses from the engine, regardless of how you get it, your putting more strain somewhere! :(

Just a quick point,
Every one is always so concerned with strain on the engine through NOS in both the world of piston engines and rotary engines. All moding of engines will reduce life, to gain you need to loose.
The thing is that a well mapped and set up Turbo engine with NOS will cause no problems at all.
The problem is that it all comes at a price £££, both in cost and engine life.
The thing is the more you spend the more engine life will improve due to abillity to set the system up to its optimun level. The only thing is this cost in both parts, labour and dyno time.
To get things perfect you could spend over £1500 - £2000 just on sum form of dynoing. This is for a run in engine and full system set up.
The way I see it is that if you have just spent £5000.00 on you engine then another £1500 is not that much for a good set up on you new baby.
