Quote from: vinnythespudthe back lights are different to mine and a lot nicer too,are the just on the imports or can i get some from a later uk car?

I believe they are import ones only, to fit a square reg plate. There are some for sale on the Crescent auction website at the moment. I agree they do look better.

-and they fit straight onto any fc. I did a bit of modifying to my JDM lights; removed the right hand clear reverse lens (with a drill and dremel!) and glued in the red lens from my UK car... (very far from-) instant rear fog! Now theres no need for those cheapo \'screw me to your bumper\' conversion kits. Just wired up the fog switch and security LED by the arm rest to come on with it, and the jobs a good un

 Ahhh yer man, whats a tool you got!! :eek

I see this a wile ago and thought it was sooo nice!! Will be good to see it out and about.!!:Thumbs-up

Whats your plans for her?!

Woodsy

haha thanks mate, looking forward to taking her to some meets.

Im planning to first tighten up the handling, she\'s already on coilovers so thats a good start. Then i\'ll be looking for a big break convertion and finally maybe an engine change.

I havent done my research yet but id like to drop the TT engine in from an FD. anyone know if this is possible without having to totally re-modify the engine bay?

After all this she\'s ready for some track days :Thumbs-up

The engine swop will work but is the FC engine really fookied??

Leave your stock brakes alone. Until you start getting brake fade, your stock setup is good enough. Get some Wilwood EXP 600 Plus fluid and some Hawk HP+ if you really want to spend money on your brakes. Hell, buy yourself some Castrol SRF brake fluid if you want to bling the car out. Fluid and pads should always be addressed first before rotors and calipers.

Yes you can make the Rew engine fit.  You need the engine loom, ecu (assume apexi + mod\'s) new engine mount\'s.  There is a lot more to it that that though.  A chap on this forum (T2Rew) has done it :Thumbs-up

Woodsy

Ah ok, obviously ill be doing alot more research before taking on such a project. Nothing wrong with my current engine, just something im guna be thinking about in the future :)

Ricco_04

It\'s something I wanted to do before plans for the FC changed.  The Rew has quite a few little differences which add up to a lot in the end :)

There is not a lot of point in fitting a TT FD engine,  you can get virtually the same power from yours with the right turbo and porting.  Just fit the FD stationary gears when its built.  Search through some of my old posts on my FC build.  Even T2REW will talk you out of the FD engine swap,  I have worked on 2 FC/ FD swaps.  Very minor differences but they make it a pig to fit.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!
