Im putting my engine back in on saturday... all the final pieces have arrived... hoses etc..

I just thought if there were any procedures I should be aware of or hints that you couldnt find in the FSM??

How about lubricating the engine.. probably put some premix in for the seals?

Im fitting an auto box in too which means I need to fill the torque converter up with ATF when fitting, then the rest down the inspection filler??

Also, I didnt take the propshaft of the diff, so I guess its just a case of lining the propshaft up and bingo..

Does it make sense to assemble the gearbox to the engine AND PPF, then attempt to fit it in (if it will go!) and connect the PPFto the Diff?  or leave the PPF out?

Also, theres some measurements to take under the car when fitting the PPF back, i couldnt quiete make out the tolernaces, and how to measure them.. can anyone help with this?

Thanks, James

I put the gearbox back in first, got it bolted into the ppf, then slid the engine in. if you get a jack under the gearbox you can lift it up so the engine will slide on quite easily.
Also, make sure you\'ve taken the engine mounts off the engine and sat them in their little cups on the subframe. This gives you more room to swing the engine around in the bay. You can install the mounts once the thing is in and still suspended by the crane. I did it this way all by myself with no help at all.

Good luck :Thumbs-up

Yea, it is probably easier to put the gearbox in first, lining the driveplate up with the torque converter shouldnt be too hard at all...
