Well done Tim, :D :D

Real pleased for you and the club, as we can all be pleased that we will have at least one Rotary on the \'\' invited Star car\'\' list. :) :) :)

p.s. l will update the  Star list.
All the best Clive

Sadly Brian has broken something in the drivetrain on his first burnout run, maybe the diff or axles.
As there were some quick cars there today they put alot of the sticky stuff down.
Later on Tim also broke his axles or diff or something too.
They must have put something mighty grippy on the track, you don\'t mind if it was allways like this but when it catches you out it is a pain.
Stiil,as I said to Tim and he agreed,"Who Cares,He has done it!That is what counts!!!
Fantastic result.
Kind regards
Carl:D :D :D :D :D :cool :cool :cool

Tim,
I knew you could do it.  What has changed since last week, or was it the supergrippy track that did it.  Or was it a little compressed laughing gas that did the trick?

Regards

400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Getting used to launching on slicks I wouldnt wonder - Max had a bit of a shock on his 2 runs on them...

Also, a lot of experience counts; Ant spend laods of runs learning how to hook it up properly in order to pull a 12.7 ages back. Practise counts for a lot...

Super news Tim and big congrats! Time to start getting serious about times then!

Hooking up is an art form, although at Santa Pod it always seems to be bloody hit and miss :( Sounds like the boys had some super sticky grip today.

I saw Tim do that run, his car just leapt off that start line and tore up the strip. When I told him his time when he got back to the fire up lane you should have saw the smile on his face!

Tim\'s the man,

As we lined up on the drag strip I did a burnout and ripped the main shaft in the diff. It was left lying on the floor with  great pool of oil. Was well cheesed off after waiting from 08:45 to 15:45 to finally get a run. Times run was awesome though he really let rip.
His times were consistent 12.1 12.2\'s 12.3 12.4 etc etc
Unfortunately Tim killed his diff too. Next time they put glue down for the top fuel cars, I won\'t do a burnout.
Still a good day though despite having to pay over £500 to get my car towed to Blanford ouch.
As Arnold said I\'ll be back.

ahh Brian I feel for ya man, nice meeting u, the car sounded awesome before it broke, even the commentator in the box said your car sounded real strong as u lined up, yeah the glue can be tough on diffs that have a weak spot, my mates 200sx was getting more grip then he is used to so he found he was bogging down even though he was launching at 5000rpm!! lucky for him he changed his diff oil recently to the redline shockproof stuff.
Hopefully u will get a replacement Diff soon, I think Ross and JIMMYS have diffs in stock.

Hi Mark,

Was good to meet you too mate.
Yeah it was a shame, especially as I was looking forward to whooping Tim\'s purple peril. I guess in the end he won the battle but we both lost the war so to speak.
Car running perfect, I was expecting a really quick time. Hopefully I\'ll be back in action on the 15th.

Crikey brian, the MAIN shaft? Not one of the two drives to the wheels then? I thought one of them might go first :(

Next time mate, next time.....

Thats 3 of us that have ruined our drivetrains at Pod now ;)

Max (now with Kaaz diff and wondering if that\'s enough...)
