I was a little concerned as well on the motorway recently in bad rain and the spray was mad, natural WI
but its a sunday car and does not go out much anyway, any puddles and I stop and go around:)

Thank you for your advise dont want that hydrolock, not the way I want my engine to go pop.

ive got a cheaper solution

I was reading up on Anitlag, I think I read somewhere Fc-datalogit has an option to retard the timing when you come of the throttle, which is supposed to dump unburnt fuel into the exhaust manifold and the heat should ignite it which should keep your turbo spooling..??

I think its similar method to anti-lag used in rally cars.. dunno about the rotary, and it would probably destroy your turbo in no time ;)

The Antilag via Datalogit does not function for the FD Power FC, I have only seen the function enabled for the Power FC Pro for the Nissan Pulsar.
Yep antilag is not too friendly on your turbos.
The best way to get it spool earlier is to go back to sequential operation, mapping will help a little bit.
Or go nitrous that will spool the buggers up real quick lol

I have read about a safe installation of NOS which was throttle position operated (eg it came on after 80% throttle was open).  I suppose this would work well?

I also read it was not very good to use it in the low gears? and below a certain rpm?

Nitrous looks like an interesting option, i like the idea of it being throttle operated rather than button operated, just for a little bit extra ;)

most proper NOS installs either only activate at WOT or are progessive eg percentage of throttle position and the amount of NOS injected can be rpm based as well.
But for a road car I wouldnt use it personally.
So for stock twins go for a remap to spool the turbos earlier of go back to sequential operation

interloper - your always up for a challenge, how about creating a system that could redirect exhaust flow from the turbo back through the exhaust manifold when your coming off the throttle??

:)

you can get turbo shafts prety cheap that take anti lag with no probs, thanks to the cossie boys , even on flebay

BlitzBoy

I doubt if the ones on fleabay will fit the IHI mazda twin turbo pack lol

I\'m still running seq setup aswell mate so that will reduce the spool up.... & I told you... don\'t do it!!! total head ache & to be honest with you I don\'t know if there was a gain from doing it as I did a load at the same time & she hasn\'t been running properly for long enough to get it on the rollers to see the gains!!!!

if theres no gain then thats fine bud, its to tidy up the engine bay anyways so a win win situation, o and i love the non-seq setup lol

From my experience with the non-seq twin setup you\'re not going to get the spool much lower than you have.

Even on my old ported engine full boost was around 4k and spool started around 3.3 like you.

The only way you\'re ever going to get close to the seq spoll times are if you port and get for a small single.  Otherwise you\'re going to have later boost AND slow spooling.
