Few painting questions :P

Well i know how to do it lol just wondering about a few things....

1. How do u get the wet look, is it just a matter of applyin plenty of clear coats?

2. Whats the benifits of colour sanding between coats?.

3. What ratio`s to use to get the best smooth finish?

4. Whats the best settings to have your gun on? max air pressure/medium spray?

Iv done my fair amount of spraying now, the noo im refurbishing a gtr32 lol

Don\'t know if this will be any help to you but the paint I use requires the clear coat\'s to be applied 30 mins after the base coat so I cant sand betwene layers - not had a problem with orange peel once it\'s all been sanded n polished so cant see there really being a gain.  I know the old chaps who used to use the old lead based paint would alway\'s sand each layer - mainly the hot rod guys.

I think your a lot more experienced than me anyway!

yeah bud just putting the finishing touches in the garage, iv now got a car size spray booth getting built so yours is the first job to be done )
