Hi

I have still in a box HKS Racing Suction Kit ( worth around £400 new ) to be fitted in my car. ( twin turbo )

I have a modified map on my Apexi to accommodate the full de cat I have.  Also my boost is up to 0.94 Injector duty up to 94% on full boost in 3rd gear

Can I fit the above kit my self with out mapping the car? Would it be unsafe to drive with it fitted to a tuner? ( Powergains Motorsport )

I would leave it to be honest your injector duty is borderline...get that sorted first them just bolt it on when all sorted.

Are you saying that fitting the HKS Kit will autaomatically alter my injector duty to higher levels?

dude your injector duty cycle is too high - max most people run the injectors is on is around 80 - 85% -

that is at the top of the rev counter and lasts about 1 / 2 seconds ( higest in 3rd gear at the top of the rev counter ) I have been told that is OKish for a split of a sec ...maybe not...85 would be better, I know ...I still have stock injectors thou and stock pump

Any other coments re the above will be welcome by other people...

not exactly...but the possiblilty is there due to the nature of the induction kit..possibly flowing more air......then your ecu realising there is more air will increse fueling accordingly.....then BANG...game over:Nono! ....just not worth the risk.........or if you really have to fit it drive up to kerims (powergains) off boost then you should be fine.

The choice is yours.

If it\'s already been mapped it should be cheaper shouldn\'t it? Just tweaks.

Hello mate !!!

I hope you and your lady are OK..

It was mapped my ant on here, I need to speak to Kerim whom you met, Incidentally, Kerim and Powergains have moved to a new "flash" garage which I have not seen yet....

It should be just a small fuelling alteration, no?  Any way, I am sure I am over fuelling a touch to be on a safe side so maybe I still have some room with the stock injectors...
