Got the new back box fitted the other week, it sounds great and has made it more driveable at lower revs and a bit more top end, i run it without the muffler and the sounds is aceptable in the car and she now kicks flames :flamed (not surprised with the amount of fuel it drinks!!)

ok had the new alternator sitting around for a while and also a gen 2 fuse box. i was waiting for a bracket that has been made to fit the gen 2 fuse box in a gen 1 but it hasnt turned up yet (along with the complete bush kit)
so i thought i would have a look at it today and it fitted spot in with no drilling etc!
i now have a 80amp alternator instead of a 55amp and i have move fuses to use under the bonnet sweet

While i was doing the alternator and fuse box upgrade i though i would wire up the sleepy eye look, still not 100 sure about it (think i may just use them as dusk) but it is all wired up now just in case!

New complete poly bush set turned up the other week so i fitted the front bushies this weekend along with the 16" fan and digital controler, it was from the US so temp is currently set at 190f (88c in English) with the sensor just sitting in the rad top hose it also gives you a constant reading so it is much more reliable than the stock :cheers

so it looks like i may be getting my hands on a weber 51 IDA decided not to go turbo or supercharger (cost and complications standard rotors etc etc) the weber should make over 200bhp :yes and i also have the option to go BP or PP and just change the jetting (old skool rules! no hairdryers!)
will of course keep you all posted!:3gears-rh

Cool :D

How much did the 51 set you back?

not quite sealed the deal yet but you dont get much change from £500, does include manifold though

Mark

Brett

Ouch - but not so bad as it has the manifold...

Looking forward to seeing it again and putting out the missing 50 ponies! :Giggle

i may get it for a little less, but i will have a Weber 45 and manifold for sale so the change from that shouldn\'t be to bad, it is the perfect set up for a standard 12a but the ported 13b i have it just doesnt do justice!!

My bump steers turned up today, these should help set the geomatry back to standard as the car has been lowered about 3.5" at the front, very nice items and a good price with the pound being so strong at the minute
