Personally, I wouldn\'t be putting a can of coke inside my engine. Not that I know whether it\'s a bad idea or not, I just don\'t think I could bring myself to do it.

Always coke, but the question is do other beverages such as Pepsi work or is this something that coke empire have a manopoly off! (Wonder if they can market this stuff at halfruads) Personaly i don\'t see why you would want to put it in the engine in the first place to deflood when traditional methods work.

Tango however might be a diffrent matter!:evillaugh

I know, it sounds very strange. I didn\'t know about this method until it was mentioned by hmltnange in post #7.
Googling it brought me right back to this very thread. Obviously I don\'t want to be the second one to try it.  According to rx7aberdeen (post #9, and #11) it works, so I want to know more, if anybody can shed some light on this...:Laugh

Heard that a little bit of oil injected into the UIM works.  Wonder if this is the same principle, although you wouldn\'t expect coke to be very viscous!

Mmmm, puzzling!

mercedes sprinters are realy prone to exhaust gasses passing the injector seals, this causes very bad sludging on top of the engine to the point that you have to smash the rocker cover off to get to the cylinder head bolts, unless you pour COKE on it and leave it for a few hours, all the sludge disolves, its amazing,if it can do this and start flooded engines dont drink it.:Laugh :Laugh :Laugh :Laugh :Laugh

I would have thought some brake cleaner / other highly flammable gas in the plenum would have got it going just by easy ignition and blowing everything out... But then if the plugs aren\'t firing then you\'d need something to clean them.

And I\'ve seen how well coke cleans pennies!
