turbo problem??

hey guys. just got the car running the other night after fitting the second hand turbos. at first it wasnt boosting right but found a leak this morning took it out a run it was boosting to 0.5bar in first no boost and third it started to boost then no power and a rattle apeared and no boost at all. the these turbos blowen? supposed to have only done 36000 miles or has something else happened? is there anyone on here from ayrshire that could come and have a we look and let me know what they think?

May sound stupid but did you prime the turbos properly? The turbos could have been starved of oil and now is broke.

i had the car sitting ticking over for a while and then took it a gentle run before trying to boost it. i kept a close eye on the oil to make sure it had enough. how would you get oil to them?

On my Glanza firstly i would manualy put some oil down the feed piror to fitting than once fitted pull out the fuse for the ecu and turn the car over for 15 seconds to make sure the turbo had plenty of oil. Than once started you can\'t really do much else apart from check for strange noises.
 
I presume there is a similar routine for rx7\'s.

wouldn\'t see the need to prime the Turbos really..i would go along the lines of checking:

1. Actuators are working
2. Vac lines are all good (change them really for Viton or silicone)
3. Pressure chambers and 1 way pills are all good and pointing the right way
4. Control soliniods are plugged in
5. I/C pipes and couplers are tight with no splits
these things are so complicated you could go on for weeks fro things to check...start with the basics first...
