Right then!  A quicky query for you tech heads out there!

Got a FC3S Gen II N/A (Not by choice, But was given free so not complianing) Planning on getting a lightweight flywheel and clutch from a turbo...
1. Will this fit my N/A?

2.I know they differ in clutch diameter, but are the flywheels the same diameter/no. teeth on the ring gear and mounting to the output shaft?

3. Are the gearbox input shaft splines the same?

Thanks:3gears-rh

Brett

No.1 I\'m not sure about, but I\'m pretty sure the splines are different...

How many do you want :Giggle

There is 2 different kits for the 2nd gen as you stated. Possibly Rx7club will have a definite answer.

Right at the bottom, you will probably need a TII gearbox and other stuff.

Thanks Shaun! Looks like I\'ll be changing the drive train:god

RotorHeid

Personally myself,there\'s nothing wrong with N/A Box,  infact it\'s better than TurboII\'s.
N/A can cope with the power of 250HP N/A and with a TurboII\'s,it\'s slow to shifting through the gears.
Unless, planned to changing into the turbo power plant in due future,turboII\'s drivetrain will be the best bet!.
Why not to look at RX8 \'s box?, heard that\'s very good box! and its only need a turbo\'s propshaft and flywheel/clutch.

All the flywheels are interchangable as are the gearboxes with the modifications that Ian has mentioned however I seem to remember that you need to change the bellhousing over if using the T11 box in an EGI.

If you fit a light flywheel you MUST the correct counterballence weight from the corresponding Auto on all Rotary engines to keep your engine eccentric shaft (same as a crankshaft) rotors etc in balance and free from viberation.

If required we are able to supply the weight, Flywheel and uprated clutch assembly if you would like to look here,
