i\'ve got a gen 3 FD..

i\'m fitting a boost gauge as i\'m having a nightmare trying to figure out whats going on with the hesitent top-end probs i\'m having...

simple q, where do you drill the firewall to run the vacuum pipe through? i\'v fitted the gauge in the single din space above the stereo.  all wired in, all lights up, just knowledge of where to drill lacking..

i would have thought anywhere, just be careful not to hit any wires and that there is nothing on the other side u might drill by mistake. lots of room in pasanger foot well.

run the vacuum hose bheind the dash towards tthe pedals and then drill a hole about 2mm from where the throttle cable goes thru the firewall...that where I pt them

cheers guys :) i\'ll break the drill out later.. and hopefully not break anything else..

Mine is run through the hole for the bonnet release cable. I didn\'t do it myself so I\'m not sure whether the hole has been enlarged to accommodate it.

I used a dremmel to cut a hole through the bulkhead 1 inch down from the lip just to the right of the brake servo, to take sensor wire, Boost gauge pipe, and some other wires I needed to the gauge pod, this hole comes into the cabin just above the clutch mounting bracket, using a thick grommet.and with the hole here the sensor capiliary is long enough!

Sorry a pic should have come with this, i did a thread for Thermoswitch some time ago, there are pics there, if you do a search,

when i fitted mine i ran i through the bonnet release cable hole. popped the gromet out ran the hose through and siliconed the hole to seal it up after. no drilling involved and took 3mins to do if that sound any easier.

sounds ideal :) i\'ll get this dusted tomorrow..

my cars pretty much stock bar a HKS induction kit..  what psi should i expect to be running once i get the guage working etc?

400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

I think 0.7 bar? That\'s what mine reads anyway, although it may have been altered from stock.
