intermittent boost loss

I lost boost on first turbo the other week but as I was booked in with Carl just let it be.

Before I went down to Carl the boost came back in so there was no problem when mapping.

I\'ve lost boost again today so could this be a sticky solenoid [about the extent of mt expertise] or is there anything I can hit with a hammer [i\'m more specialised in hitting things]

The car\'s late 98 so I don\'t have as big a dreaded rats nest as earlier cars.

Shame as I\'m off to Broadlands in the morning - I\'ll just have to cruise.

Then again, it could just come back.

Sound similar - no fix though.
