The manual that comes with the controller is very confusing, there is a good explanation of how to set it up somewhere either on here or on rx7 club.

DO NOT READ THE ENGLISH TRANSLATED MANUAL!!!!

They have mixed up the modes so you will do it very very wrong.

The way you set boost is by turning the knob while in boost display mode..  (when it shows what you are running right now ex -4.7 etc..)
Turn the knob clockwise and it will increase from zero to whatever you choose.. This will be how you decide your boost.
Once you have decided on something press the knob.. and it will go for that boost.. Good thing is to start low and slowly increase in say 2steps increments.

One press on the mode button will get you to Gain. This sets the "gain" and lets you finetune the solenoid. Decrease if it spikes and increase.. once again start low..

2 presses on mode from "display mode" will get you to start boost.. this is the "response" setting.. alas how quickly your turbos will spool.. be carefull to not set it to high as this will give you boostspikes...   The rest of the explanaions regarding Warning and stuff like that is correct.

Best regards, Daniel

I have the start boost (SR GAIN) setting pretty pointless. I run 1.0 bar boost, so set the start boosts to 0.85 to try and keep the wastegate shut for a bit longer. So, what happens is it opens it at 0.85, then the boost drops to the point of where it would have been if the start boost was not set! Rather than continue rising until it hits 1.0 bar. I\'ve turned this feature off now, cos it\'s so pointless!

shaunwil

Its there to stop the boost spiking at the initial opening of the wastegate. Too high and it will spike and have serious issues.
