PC advice please,

I thought i would have a look at downloading  Google Earth, Google suggested i download a package (all free ) with earth pc spyware, and about 8 helpfull programs in this pack, so downloaded all of it, then realised i had better already so took a few off again, since then i have lost both CD and DVD drives!:eek:  in \'my computer\' no sign of them, but a reference no, code 39, i saw somewhere!
Can anyone advise please,

If you are running Windows XP you could try a system restore.

I don\'t have time to explain how right now but I\'ll try to a bit later.

Basically XP should of created a restore point before the software was installed that you should be able to go back to.

If it is XP i would do a \'restore\' to an earlier date before you downloaded the software and see if they come back.

Start - All programs - Accessories - system tools - system restore and follow the instructions.

System restore wont do it, tried that, also got Norton go-back, but that would not work, because of too much activity, which i take to mean downloading too many programs at once from Google! Thanks guys
